What was your first job? How did you get it or learn about it?

My very first job was babysitting kids in the neighborhood that I got because I lived close by and the parents knew me.  My first real “office” job was as a part-time filing clerk for a veterinary supply company that I found on the high school job board.  I took the bus there after school, and my dad picked me up.  He thought I had taken up smoking because apparently, I came out of the office smelling like smoke every day!  I had not, and was greatly offended that he thought I had.

What is your favorite local business and why?

My favorite local business is a yarn store called Hook and Needle, located just about a block from WSW!  I love to knit and crochet, and really any other fiber art you can think of.  They have all sorts of supplies and are very friendly!

How do you relax?

After work, I relax by making my favorite (non-alcoholic) drink – a raspberry lemonade and sitting down to scroll TikTok and other social media.  I especially love to do this out on my patio in the nicer weather.  I also relax by watching my favorite TV shows, knitting, and reading.
