In June, Workforce Southwest Washington (WSW) welcomed three new members to our Board of Directors. WSW’s Board of Directors is composed of representatives from business, workforce and organized labor, post-secondary education, economic and community development entities and governmental agencies. WSW’s board is business-led, as the majority of members represent businesses or business organizations in the local area.
Join us in welcoming the following new board members:
Nick Massie
Trainer, Rotschy Inc.
Representing Private Sector/Business in Clark County on the Workforce Southwest Washington Board of Directors
Massie has a comprehensive background in project management and leadership across the construction sector. He currently serves on several boards and advisory councils, including the Building and Planning Advisory Council – Cowlitz County, Southwest Washington Contractors Association (SWCA) Advisory Council, SWCA Education Committee, La Center School Advisory Council and Battle Ground Advisory Council.
By volunteering on WSW’s Board of Directors, Massie hopes to make a positive impact on the community by helping to develop strategies and initiatives that support workforce development and job training programs and leverage his expertise and connections to help advance WSW’s mission and promote its success.
Ebony Price
Assistant Director of Healthcare, Service Employees International Union, Local 49
Representing Organized Labor on the Workforce Southwest Washington Board of Directors
Price is a Medical Assistant by trade and has 12 years of experience working in a clinical setting. With a degree in Healthcare Administration and experience as an Organizer for SEIU Local 49, Price understands the administrative side of healthcare and has a passion for creative problem solving.
Price wants to utilize her background to produce creative solutions to create pathways to better employment for the people who live and work in Southwest Washington.
Bill Sauters, Jr.
Washington State Area Representative, Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers (AWPPW)
Representing Organized Labor on the Workforce Southwest Washington Board of Directors
Sauters has extensive experience in the trades and organized labor. He began his career as an electrical apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) straight out of high school. Sauters serves on several local labor councils, including the Cowlitz/Wahkiakum Central Labor Council and the Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers Washington Area Council.
As a labor representative, Sauters hopes to use his negotiation skills and understanding of different perspectives to help workers and business alike across our region.
We are excited to welcome our new board members and look forward to working with them to implement workforce development initiatives and strategies to support workers, job seekers and business.
