Why work in workforce development?

I genuinely believe that the public workforce system is one of our society’s best tools to catalyze transformative change that empowers working people and creates a culture that is anchored in equitable access to opportunity and prosperity.

What is your favorite local business and why?

I spend a lot of my professional life migrating between local coffee shops, and both Compass Coffee and Kafiex Roasters take home a lot of my paycheck every month. I love the dynamism of both of these places and the opportunity to work around the bustle of community meetings and conversations.

What do you like to do for fun or what hobbies do you have?

I have been an avid skateboarder for more than a decade and a half, and love the connection and peace that comes from cruising winding city streets and sidewalks. Catch me coming to a meeting on four polyurethane wheels.
