The team at NEXT Success is busy preparing for SummerWorks to start soon!
Over the course of approximately 8 weeks, SummerWorks provides the opportunity for young adults ages 16 – 24 who are not actively enrolled in classes and not currently employed to complete work-readiness workshops, career exploration activities, and paid 100-hour internships with local employers. Internships are available in a variety of industries and pay $18 per hour.
Businesses that host SummerWorks interns have the opportunity to connect with motivated young adults who are ready to gain hands-on experience and develop additional skills. Past host sites have reported that they have found SummerWorks to be a great way to engage with and develop future employees.
